Philosophy of faith based education
Faith is the first step in understanding the world around us. As G.K Chesterton put it, “Reason is itself a matter of faith. It is an act of faith to assert that our thoughts have any relation to reality at all”. It is a fundamental belief in the Catholic Church that faith and reason are in union with each other. To believe that the world is created by God means that we can understand it through the study of the arts and sciences. The logic and beauty of the world around us ACKNOWLEDGES that there is meaning and purpose to our lives. We exist because God who intentionally created us out of love.
