philosophy As an educator
I believe, that the primary purpose of teaching is to aid students in their growth and development. It is important for a teacher to find satisfaction when teaching their students. To do this teachers must be lifelong learners, and believe strongly that there is always something new they can learn. A teacher must be open to listening and learning from their students. They must be willing to reach out to those afraid to speak up.
Teachers must be willing to improve for the sake of their students. A teacher's personal growth and development should support both their students as well as their colleagues and administrators. Teachers must remember that they are not alone in their labour and share it with others as part of a professional body. In cases of conflict within their profession, teachers must remain professional and remember to retain their integrity.
Teachers must give their students the benefit of a fair assessment. Teachers must do this and retain a commitment to students who need assistance with understanding complex or difficult concepts. Teachers must guide the students towards the answer but still allow them to venture on their own. As an educator teachers ought to promote the construction of new concepts within the student's mind, and not simply relay facts. Teachers must trust that they can give students a quality education which will shape, and prepare them for the rest of their lives.

Philosophy of ArtArt focuses on the human condition. Art communicates through creativity, imagination, and it is fundamental to our understanding of the world around us. Just like tools are extensions of our hand, art is the extension of our mind.
Artists create through a world of ideas, feelings, and sensations. The work artists create is meant to critique, question, criticize, tell stories, and evoke emotions. Art can teach us of new discoveries, and can be used to narrate what is otherwise incomprehensible. |

Art Education
Art education is important because it helps us with media literacy, it also helps us to understand our past as well as our future. The art student of today must be exposed to old techniques as well as new technology. Art allows students to become self certain, and seek out their voice. The artists is always a student, they continues to learn and discover. The artist seeks out fulfillment in their work and the work of other artists.
