Interests & Skills
In 2014 I started Memory Lane Media a business which does contract work editing videos and designing promotional material. I have created content for Fort Edmonton Park, the Edmonton Archdioceses, Alberta Education, and Brace tool inc.
In 2015 I completed my education degree from the University of Alberta. My majors were Fine Arts and Communication Technologies, I have also taken additional courses in special education and educational psychology. After graduation I was hired by Miriam's Footsteps and Catholic Social Services to create learning & event plans for vulnerable youth living in group homes.
Additionally I have had experience in the classroom creating IPPs and adapting provincially mandated curriculum for ELL students. For me gaining experience with specialized needs students is something which interests me. I have been fortunate enough to work closely with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) students within the school system, through social services, and directly within a home setting.
Additionally I have experience teaching one on one with students who have ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder) , Dyslexia, GAD (General Anxiety Disorder), and FASD (Fetal Alcohol Syndrome).
Over the past 10 years I have helped with organizing local art events around Edmonton. These events including the Edmonton Fringe Festival, the U of A Film Festival, the 48 Hour Film Festival, and the Lumen Film Festival.
In my personal hobbies are film making as well as portrait and nature photography. I have directed over 2 dozen short length films and I am currently working on my first feature length film, coming June 2020.
